17 December 2017:
Today, I experienced a ball pool! I am both humbled & grateful to have such awesome people in my life, who are always there when it matters & willing to help me fulfil all of my ideas & adventures, no matter how random or crazy they may seem π.
I’d also like to say a special thank you to Beach Cove Adventure Play Area (Hornsea Freeport) for accommodating us & allowing me to become a big kid for the day! Where many places turned us away, they welcomed us.
It was such a great day, so fun, I loved it! ππ In these photos I was accompanied by my amazing Grandma (that’s right, in a ball pool at 83! π), and friends Joe & Gemma.

Today I threw snowballs for my pooches - well, technically I balanced said snowballs on my hand & batted them off with my stylus in my mouth; kinda like snowball golf… But it’s close enough, so I’m counting it as a conquered! ππ
hehe x
08 December 2017:
We heard about some beach & surf wheelchairs available to hire at Bridlington (South Promenade), so - with help from my awesome friend - I decided to try them both! Fantastic time! Being on the beach in winter is the best feeling - there is nothing like it. Some call us crazy; but I say you’re crazy not to try it at least once… It’s beautiful & euphoric - the cool ocean is so refreshing… Just perfection ππ

It’s my birthday! I think we should consider reaching any age-milestone a CONQUERED moment, because we have survived the biggest adventure of all – life! π x
17 November 2017:
Today I conquered the East Yorkshire Round Robin - a train journey which took us from Hull, through to Selby, York, Scarborough, Filey, & back to Hull. I think this is the most locations I have visited & explored in a single day! π
haha
24 October 2017:
We conquered the woods! Went completely off the beaten track & LOVED IT!! π
06 October 2017:
When your friend challenges you to retrieve the raspberry in your cocktail with nothing but a straw… Challenge accepted! ππ
haha
We had an awesome time in Bradford - Great Italian food, then The Science & Media Museum, and finishing the evening going to see my first ballet! Loved it!
06 September 2017:
Today Joe dragged & pushed my wheelchair over hills, through ditches, navigating mole hills, fields, & woodland, to finally conquer Beverley Westwood! So much fun! π

23 August 2017:
Ok so this isn’t my regular arty post, but I can’t not share this - I had such an AWESOME night with Bullets & Octane. Love these guys so much! With a lot of help from friends and the band, we conquered the stairs into the venue!! πSeriously, by how steep they were, everyone who helped needs a medal, because that was truly amazing; so grateful to have good people in my life! ππ And, of course, the show kicked a$$! π
π hehe xx
• SIDE-NOTE: This post should also serve as an example, because there are many venues out there who wouldn’t allow me to do things like this because they have no access. In fact, of all venues Bullets played, Trillians was the ONLY venue to say “we don’t have access, but will try our best to get you in” - and that honestly means so much - they were actually helpful! All events like this should be accessible to everyone - and by that, I don’t necessarily mean having actual wheelchair access (although that is obviously best), I mean having that awesome attitude of “everyone is welcome & we’ll at least TRY to make it happen” (thank you Trillians!). Just a thought to leave everyone with anyway. π
16 August 2017:
Tackled my first full crop field in my chair (with a little help from my bestie)! So awesome! ππ
15 August 2017:
A quick visit to Belmont Tower before tackling Hubbard’s Hills (Louth) π - fun times!

When you tell your best friend you’ve never paddled in the ocean before… Or been buried alive… πππ haha

01 July 2017:
With a little help from an awesome friend, we conquered the Humber Bridge!! Crossed the full length there & back in my chair, & stopped half way to physically sit on it - feeling it move beneath me was awesome! Loved it! And such beautiful inspiring scenery too! π
15/16/17 February & 9 March 2017:
With the BBC at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust, using my work as an artist to raise awareness for these amazing animals. What a fantastic time! Sincerest thank you to all who made this possible - all staff (& animals) at the UKWCT, Mike Dilger (presenter), everyone involved at the BBC, and my PA Gemma; this has truly been an experience I’ll never forget!
